FAQs

How can I support Stephen’s Children?

Prayer and financial contributions are the two ways we ask you to support us.

Can I bring a group to serve with you in Egypt?

Currently, we are not equipped to handle groups serving alongside us in the slums. Our team trains extensively to work with the children, and they give their lives to build relationships in the slums. Trust, familiarity, and communication are very important when working with the children, so we cannot easily welcome outside volunteers.

Can I visit the ministry?

If you are planning a trip to Egypt and would like to see some of the work we do, please submit a contact form here.

How can I pray for Stephen’s Children?

Please visit our Prayer Page for more information.

Can I give something besides money, like clothing or food?

Although the families we work with have many needs – including clothing and food – it is usually impractical to send these items from abroad. We ask that you donate clothing to the needy families in your neighborhood and donate money to support the work of Stephen’s Children, which includes clothing and feeding the children. With that said, if you have a particular item or items that you think could be valuable to the ministry, please submit a contact form here.

How will my gift be spent?

Stephen’s Children uses all gifts to fund ongoing ministry to the poorest of poor families. If you would like to learn about the way giving is budgeted among our various programs, please call Kyle Parrish, U.S. director of development: 616.723.0601

How much should I give?

We are grateful for gifts of any amount, asking that you prayerfully consider how much to give. We also ask that you consider making Stephen’s Children an ongoing recipient of your support.

Is my gift tax-deductible?

All gifts made in the United States and Canada are tax-deductible. Gift Aid may be claimed for gifts made in the U.K. For more information about how to claim Gift Aid, contact Wilfred Wong, U.K. director: wilfred.wong@btinternet.com

Does Stephen’s Children have capital needs, or is all the support for operations?

Stephen’s Children has ongoing capital projects that are completed as funding and circumstances allow. Typically, these projects cost U.S. $50,000 or more. If you are interested in learning more about our current capital needs, contact Kyle Parrish, U.S. director of development: 616.723.0601

How will my gift be recognized?

Out of respect for our Lord’s teaching in Matthew 6, and for our donors’ privacy, gifts are not publicly recognized in any way. You will receive written acknowledgment of your gift.

Can I set up monthly credit card payments?

Yes. Click here to get started. If you prefer to give through a monthly bank draft, call Kyle Parrish, U.S. director of development for details: 616.723.0601
